 Hello Friends!

Welcome back to the blog. Continuing on with the adventures, I tested out the stove and it worked reasonably well. I made some tea on it even though it took a minute to boil, I finally got it hot enough  and so the experiment worked out.  I may try and cook on it at some point, but for now we will call it a success. Since the video I did change a few things. I made the lid a bit smaller and  i put a few more air holes in the inside can. I have not tested it to see if works better or not yet because the weather and other time constraints have kept me from doing so. At some point I plan on trying it out, depending on time.

Here is part two of the BUILD if you wish to watch.

Hello once again everyone! Today I decided to make a hobo stove and give it a try, it worked out well. The only thing I found wrong is I need to make a few modifications to it.  I will be doing that soon. If you would like to see the build you can view it here.

A Bit of a Snag

Hello Friends!  I hope you enjoyed the video I posted.  I have run into a bit of a snag on continuing this project as my video making program crashed. However, I am hopefully soon going to have it up and running again within the next week and hope to bring more content for you to view. With That being said I am currently have plans to make 3 more backyard adventures. The first is a second version or redo if you will, of the rain catch experiment. the second is an adventure bag video to do my backyard/ outdoor adventures with. and finally, a hobo stove. Why a hobo stove you ask?  Well, I have attempted this project in the past, but the design is a bit flawed. Also, my do it yourself burn barrel can use some improvements. that is where I am going with the channel and blog in the near future. I am hoping that you stick with me and continue to check in with me now and again. Until next time. To quote the Prates of the Caribbean movies, "May the wind always be at your back Mates!!"

The Rain Catch Experiment

Hello Friends! I hope your all having a wonderful day!  The first video is now posted!  I saw a survival video where someone took a plastic bottle and made a water catch, I decided to give that a try with my own twist to it. I performed this experiment while away at a relative's property. It turned out to be somewhat of a success. The idea was to catch drinkable water from the passing rainstorm occurring that evening. As it turned out, the rain came in the next morning and was not as much rain as I had hoped for, but enough to test my idea, The results are here in the video. Here is the link.

Another Reboot

So here it is three years later with only 2 posts, No worries, Friends. I am still around. i have tried to do a few videos but the files are too big to post, with that being said. i will have to post them on YouTube and link them here. Still, I will give a written account of my adventures and may post more pictures here than videos since videos take more time to produce and to be honest, I am very poor at making videos, mostly it is due to not having very good speaking skills and pronunciation. i tend to run words together and slurr a bit, I will fight through that. In the meantime I will do what  can to keep anyone who is intrested in my outings and backyard adventures more updated here.back with you soon with  a new adventure!
